Green Algae Control - Our Story
The first house I can remember living in was on an island, Demi-John
Island. For as long as I can remember water has been an integral part of
my life, fittingly my horoscope sign is Aquarius. I learned how to drive
a boat before I drove a car as we had a boat slip in the back of our
house. I've always had an honest appreciation and interest for aquatic
environments and what drives them. I was always told "love what you do
and you'll never work a day in your life." So I found a job in aquatics.
I got my start in lake management on a 5 star Golf Resort near Trinity Texas in 1998. Doing lake management and Fisheries Management, from the simplest of vegetation control to building and stocking a brand new 26 acre lake, I found what I wanted to do for a living. I decided to return home to Brazoria County and pursue a job with the state's largest Freshwater Fish Hatchery and Lake Management Company, conveniently located in my home town.
Initially the owner had reservations about hiring a new employee, but I showed up every morning until they finally gave in and hired me. I spent the first two years working in the Hatchery. I quickly worked my way up and was the head of Lake Management within three years. I continued to run the Lake Management for about 10 years. Finally the opportunity presented itself and I founded Green Algae Control Lake Management.
Today we do everything from Aeration Systems, Vegetation Control to Fish Stocking and Fisheries Management. After over a decade of working in the business I still love what I do and am constantly amazed at how Mother Nature can astound us. Our Location and Service Area
We are located in Angleton, Texas, but we gladly service all of Brazoria
county and all adjoining counties plus some. Including, Austin,
Brazoria, Brazos, Burleson, Calhoun, Chambers, Colorado, Fayette, Fort
Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Hardin, Harris, Jackson, Jefferson, Lavaca,
Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity, Victoria,
Walker, Waller, Washington, and Wharton Counties. We may also travel
greater distances for larger jobs, so don't hesitate to inquire, we'd be
glad to speak with you.
